I think it is really cool that you are able to get past all kinds of stereotypes about black men in America and allow yourself to do what you want to do. If we have learned with the historic election is that a black man in America can do whatever he wants and is only limited by his own hangups not others. I am not gay but I admire how your able to work and not allow yourself to be defined by your work. I want to act and you have shown that you have to choose what you want to do and not let others choose for you... How did you get yourself mentle for the roles you have played and how people would percieve you>

Hi Jensen,

It is probably a little silly to you that strangers write to you and send you messages as if we know you. But I guess we do it because in some way you have touched our lives; through your work or your smile or your way with people that from the outside appears to be sincere and genuine.
In a small way you have made my life a little less lonely. I watch your shows and it gives me hope that there is someone out there for me. It encourages me to think that because of the choices you have made in your work that maybe you see things with compassionate eyes and understand things with a deeper sense of the human condition.
